car won't start
if you can hear the starter working or at least the engine turns, then it's probably not the starter. give us a little bit more info (how it happened, ie did you not drive your car for a long time?)
distributer? my 90 ls kinda did the same thing but it is a daily driver (not sure about urs) but the whole secondary igntion system was blown or something like that...cost around 2k to fix
my car was basically totaled...(was when i was younger and could tell my dad not to, but now im glad he did it

I actually just bought the car a few days ago. The guy told me he was drivin it and about 3 to weeks ago it just shut off and didnt want to start. I dont think its the starter from the way it sounds.
Engines require fuel/air/spark/timing/compression. Pull a plug and check for spark. If you have spark, look at the plug after cranking if for a bit see if it is wet, also sniff the cylinder for gas. If the engine sounds like it cranks normally and not cranking slow then fast then slow then fast it probably has at least EVEN compression. I don't know if it is an interference engine. It might not be a bad idea to pop the distributor cap off, turn the engine over by hand and see if the dist. rotor turns. If it does, the timing belt is not broken. ( assuming it is a belt and not a chain ). Though, it is possible for it to jump teeth. There are lots of things that can make a car not start. But, start with the basics.
1. Check Distributor and coil/ignitor -notorious for going bad.
2. Fuel pump and/or filter- make sure engine is getting fuel and not clogged fuel line.
3. Coolant sensor- don't know if it checks temperature or flow rate, but my dad had one go bad on his 88 accord and caused the car not to start. It would crank but not start.
4. Since the guy said it just shut off I would definitely get the timing belt checked. This is an "interference" engine so if the timing belt broke, pistons and valves hit each other and could have caused some internal damage.
Just some ideas, good luck.
