Recently my old clutch finally gave out, and well I had it taken to a friends shop for the install.. Well, turns out I also needed new axles. Mine were worn beyond I dont know what... But also noticed was my worn out motor mounts, and completley missing tranny mount.. I own a 93 ls, I looked up www.nopi.com and found for $ 39.54, " Motor mount insert kit (COMPLETE) "
Now.. is this what I really need ? And if not, where can I go to find it ?.



Also, headlight wiring.. Any leads on that would be nice too, friggin projectors got jacked

 

1) The mount inserts:

The inserts are designed to stiffen stock engine mounts that are in reasonably good shape... but given the age of the car, I'd go for new OEM-equivalent mounts instead.
The inserts will increase the amount of engine vibration transmitted to the frame of the car, while new OEM mounts will fix the problem and maintain the stock levels of vibration isolation.

2) Headlight wiring... what's the problem? Does "jacked" mean your headlamps were stolen, crushed, sold on the black market?
If I don't know what's broken, I can't help ya fix it.

 

By jacked, I mean stolen.. Whether it was the force they had to use to get them out w/o removing the bumper, or just for the hell of it - the stock connector and everything is gone.. blinkers and all..

 

And this took place at a professional shop? :eh: Either I'm not connecting the dots... or this "shop" is a real dump with shady owners.

But before you go jumping to conclusions that the HLs were stolen, I'd take it up with the owner of the shop. They've got to know something about what happened to the HLs.

If they give you a hard time, take it to the authorities... Bureau of Automotive Repairs, Better Business Bureau, etc.
