Well "sp00nfed" and I installed a Skunk2 Intake Manifold on his 1995 GSR. Well he got 2 different codes code 14 which is IACV and code 10 which is Intake Air Temputure. Well he replaced both of them and the only way the car idles normal is when the IACV is Unplugged. We also replaced the TB gasket, and still the same. All the vacum hoses have been trippled checked and there all good. Anyone have any idea what the problem could be?? We have been trying for awhile now, So any help would be apreciated. Thanx

 

Did you bleed the coolent line? Sometimes that can do it.

 

How do you bleed the coolant line?

 

Look at this pic.

 

And Thennnnnnnn Loosen that untill it starts spitting coolent. that's it. let the car run for a while and then do it again a few more times.

 

Be sure to keep an eye on your temp gauge, cut it when it hits the half way point...remember, overheating is bad...no fluid in the radiator = heat...lots of it

 

Problem fixed, Put a new Intake Manifold Gasket on and there were 2 plugs that were in the wroung spot. Thanx for everyones help

yeah, i've been searching and searching for about 2 weeks and didn't want to ask because i know this has been covered numerous times but we finally got it working....Deff a good mod for the GSR

 

Aside from the problem you had, how is the install for the intake manifold? Cause I was thinking about getting a Skunk2 IM as well, but I've heard that taking off the old manifold and putting another one on is a big pain in the butt. About how long did it take you (aside from fixing the gasket and all)?
