Default Exhaust Purchasing

I've decided I want a quiet sounding exhaust with decent gains. I've checked out Hytech and Mugen since they're the only twin loop systems I know of. From the sound clips I've heard, Mugen sounds very close to stock, and Hytech sounds really nice, and nowhere near being stock.

In any case, the price of Mugen is $975 + $95 shipping to me in CA for a total of $1070. Hytech is $1300 and their shop is pretty local. I was told I can pick it up in person to save myself the shipping cost. Is another $230 worth the difference between Hytech and Mugen? Does anyone know first hand?

hytech's header is $1300. their exhaust with high flow renault cat is $900.

the mugen is 2.36" while the hytech is a full 2.5"

thanks for pointing that out! i just shortly after posting saw that too. $900 and local pick up is much more affordable than $975 + $95 for shipping.

furthermore, it's sounding more and more like hytech's exhaust is better too.

The hytech header makes more power than any other header out there. Hytech would be the setup to go. Optimal gains plus the exhaust would be quiet from the twinloop design.

I been looking at Hytech's website & it seems to me the header cost $799, & the header back is for $900 & the full exhaust is for $1300 Pls correct me if im wrong.

Im also looking into buying a header. But undecided which way to go.
Maybe you guys can help me with this one?

Note. I recently installed a catback system ( apexi N1 ) a few months ago

option # 1 Keep Apexi N1 & get JDM header
#2 keep Apexi N1 & get Hytech header
#3 Get rid of the N1 & get the Hytech Full exhaust
#4 Keep N1 & go with Spoon Header ( Opak Racing is local )

im also getting an Engine Management as soon as I get the exhaust deal out of the way.
Any suggestions?

why engine management u don't have enough mods to warrent the need for an engine management system, if all u have is an intake and exhaust. on my gsr, i have cams, adj cam gears, skunk2 intake, comptech headers and ice box, and apex n1 exhuast and all i am running is a VAFC 2 and my car runs great but i also have a lot of stuff done to the car that warrent the need for it
