Default trouble starting sometimes

i just got my 94 integra ls coupe.

after i test drove it the first time, she said it had some trouble starting.. she took it to her mechanic, they replaced battery and said they could find nothing wrong with the car...

so we took it to our mechanic before purchasing, just to get it checked out, they found nothing wrong with the car, it hadnt given us any toruble since the previous owner had got the battery replaced...but....

last night i was getting ready to leave the gas station, and it did this again... the car just wound up, but wouldnt start, i tried twice with the same results, so i turned the car all the way off, and waited about 5 seconds, it started right up....

its not really a big problem unless it starts doing it regularly, but i was just wondering if anyone should know what this could be...

thanks

Default troubles

Is there an alarm on the car?

Also, has it been modded at all and if so, how?

Diagnosing intermittent problems can be the worst. WHen the car WONT start is when you can find the problem. Main relay's can give intermittent nostarts. Hard to diagnose.

sorry, havent been around a computer recently

no alarm system on the car, and no mods have been done to it...

i havent checked the starter or anything, but i may if the problem gets worse

its only done it once since the last post, but it was abit different, the car was in my driveway, and it started once, but kinda shook and stalled, this was about 2 minutes after the car had been running, and maybe 10 minutes after i put gas in it, i started it again, the engine stalled out again, it did it acouple times, so i turned the car all the way off, and waited afew seconds, and it started just fine....

i guess im still just waiting for it to be diagnosable

Probably main relay. They are temperature related. They control the ECU and fuel pump circuit. You can have fuel pressure at first, then after it starts, gradually loose it and make the thing shutter and stall. Then after sitting for a few minuts, it starts just fine. And, they can be very intermittnet. There are ways of testing the relay itself before replacing it, however.
