Best engine dress up kit?
okay, I am shopping around for a red anodized/aluminum dress up kit for my GSR...
Pickens seem kinda slim.
Anyone know of some NICE ones...
No chrome
stainless/red anodized is what I really want.

Dressin up the engine bay
I participate in car shows, especially charity shows for toys for tots, american legion, etc etc...
I sleeved all my hoses, but kinda like the stainless look a little better.

So, what do you want to do exactly?
My thoughts about engine dressup would be a billet tie down, spark plug cover, painted valve cover, colored vacuum hoses, oil cap, radiator cap, etc.
You need to specifically buy the parts for it to look classy. A generic ebay dressup kit will look cheap and crappy.
I had a buddy with the steel braided hose coverings and it looked like ass. I would rather see the ugly rubber hoses than bunched, loose, and obviously fake steel hose.

replacing stock hoses with some high-quality silicone ones would be nice if your stock ones are old. not only they look better (if you are looking for "custom look"), they serve an actual function.
and/or you can put steel braided covers.
here's a good website to get nice, quality made hoses.

np man. it's what i do.
As for ebay dressup stuff, some of them are not too bad.
i bought my mugen knock-off rad cap (1.3 bar one) and oil cap off ebay and they were nice solid metal pieces. they don't look fancy like an anodized oil cap with a laser etching from DC sport (or was it AEM? i forgot) but they sure beat stock plastic ones.
They came with "mugen yO!" stickers but if you don't want em, just don't put em.
Or you can design your own and slap it on.
