two fuel injector failed within a month ?
within a month ago, my #2 fuel injector stopped functioning, replaced that and everything went back to normal
just today when i started the car, it felt kinda sluggish and the engine light started blinking, used an odb2 scanner and got a misfire in cylinder 1 and 3
when i diagnose it by unplugging the fuel injector electrical harness, #3 doesnt seem to be working, but i can still feel it ticking ?
im gonna swap out the #3 injector with the #1, 2, or 4 tomorrow to see if its the injector thats not working or something else
what are the chance that 2 fuel injector would fail within a month ? is it just bad luck or will i have to replace a 3rd injector a month later ?

its a sign that you probobly let your car run dry of gas before you fill up.
dirt and grime from the bottom of your tank distroy fuel injectors. the fuel filter catches most of it, but its what gets by that kills the injectors themself. If you have run out of fuel all together numerous times, thats will do it too.
If i where you, id change all 4. since you changed one already cahnge the remaining 3

doesnt the fuel line comes out of the BOTTOM of the fuel tank ? so arent dirt and grime are gonna go through the system no matter if the fuel tank is full or empty anyway ?
i always fill up before the gas light is even on except for a couple occasion which i fill up right after the light comes on
i use 89 octane (ethanol blend)....could that have something to do with it ?
all your fuel injectors are the same age, so if one isworn out, it seems logical that the others are not far behind. That said, my bug has over 300k, and all the original fuel injectors, so it seems like they would last a long time
Have you made any fuel system modifications? Have you run any kind of octane booster or fuel additive?

you asked if it was common for injectors to go bad. it is only common among cars that run low on gas often.

never, just bought the car 4 months ago, not sure if previous owner replaced it or not
would it be a good idea to replace it now ?
also when i took out the fuel injector, there were black stuff build up around injector head (circled area in pic).....is that normal ?
