Default DH-Racing?

Anyone used Dave Hickman Racing products/upgrades? I got a price quote for a 74/69 throttle body, custom intake manifold, and a head port job w/stage one upgrade for 1699.00. Doesnt sound too bad to me, let me know what you guys think. Or any other people that do this kind of work to a D16A1. Thanks

Seems like an awful lot of money for a few horsepower gain and a soggy low end.

For that much, you might as well piece a turbo kit together and make way more power.

i was planning on going N/A. I've been hearing this engine has alot of potential, or were they refering to FI? Not sure how an engine this old with 200k kms on it would be able to handle a turbo. Sounds like I'd have to build the bottom end as well, which wouldn't be bad but could get more pricey then I intended.
How would I fix the "soggy low end" in an N/A engine?
