Pick up (gear shift) is slow
I just bought a preowned Acura 1994. I hadnt driven a auto trans. car before so I'm not sure about the severity of this problem.
It seems that for lower gears the shift is very slow. It takes a few seconds before car goes into next gear. I think i'm pushing the gas upto specified safe level.
Please suggest what the problem could be.

Acura '94 Auto Transmission Problem
The D4 light is fused (it stays off even if i put the transmission in D4).
Moreover, the maint indicator was ON when i bought the car. I would appreciate if you guys can suggest what important maint. is required before i take it to a mechanic.

well the d4 light is just burned out.
I just replaced mine 2 days ago and it works great.
The bulb was $3.95 shipped to my door from the acura dealer and all i had to do was remove like 7 screws and get the old bulb out and pop the new one in.
