The Best Way To Shut A CF Hood?

wow...i can't belive this thread. All you need to do is set the hood down and gently push it till it latches. It won't break unless you jump on the thing.

I've seen steel hoods with stress cracks where people push down on their hood to get it to latch.

i understand...if your worried you can raise the latch on the car a little higher so that the hood doesn't have to be pushed down so much too.

not such a good idea it lets to much air under the hood and it wobbles when you hit higher speeds eventually the latch will break off the hood ..........i know..lol...thank god for hood pins

Yep, the last car I towed on my tow truck that had a CF hood and no front bumper allowed enough air under the hood to completely break it off the car and send it flying into rush hour traffic, I tell you I never saw that one coming

That will also misalign the hood, too.
