Default my 91 integra shuts down

I just bought a 91 integra a couple of weeks ago as a work car and everything seemed to run fine until a couple of days ago, when it just shut itself down after a couple of minutes it started up then shut down again, at first I thought it was the fuel pump, then replaced the thermostat because I thought the engine was trying to protect itself. I have no clue if the engine is cold it will run for about 20 minutes then shut down until it cools does anyone have any ideas.

Fuel filter? Distributor cap? Plugs wires? Is the check engine light on?

There is an iginition control module inside the distributor,(under the cap on the side facing the front of the car.) my car had the same problem, set me back about 90 bucks but it fixed the problem. I guess honda recalled this piece a while back.
