Default Comptech Intake and Icebox

I got it not too long ago and its awsome. when i saw the filter i started to question it because it didnt look like it would do much, and spraying it with that can of oil wasnt helping either. is the blue filter that comes with it decent for it or is there another one i can buy to get some more air into there?

its some special can of crap that said oil something on it...cant remember it. its what the instructions told me to do. it apparently keeps dirt and all sorts of crap from entering the filter but doesnt decrease airflow

That foam filter flows pretty good from what I've read. As far as durability goes I'm sure there's better. You can fit a K&N #E2427 filter in the icebox, I know from experience.

You tell me! A picture is worth a thousand words. That's the K&N right there.

Is the Comptech Icebox the same dimensions as the stock airbox? That's a stock airbox in your pic.

Yes I'm aware that's the stock airbox. I was showing that picture so he can see the difference between the filters. The Comptech Icebox is wider then the stock airbox from the looks of things. That same K&N filter fit in the Icebox, it fits snug length wise but works fine.

Disregard the valve cover, I was checking how it looks/fits for a future cams/cam gears upgrade. Should have did a mooncut. h:

i think ill keep the filter...for now, or until i find something 10 times better.
only problem i had with it was that it was a b!tch to install the icebox part. ive never had to monkey fu<k anything like that so badly before
