Hey everyone... im new to this forum so bare with me

i have a 01 Integra GSR 4 door. i have 49,000 miles on it. no engine mods. The engine light has turned on and i dont know why. i consulted the useless owners manual and nothing. all the caps are screwed in properly, oil changes have been made and i recently changed the air filter on my car with a fram part. any ideas anyone?

I scheduled my car to go to the dealership to check it out, but if anyone in this forum can give me some ideas on how to fix it before i blow 2much money at the dealership i would greatly appreciate it.

 

a check engine light can mean almost anything. you dont notice anything different when driving it (especially when driving it hard)? a check engine light usually means something is wrong with the engine that is screwing up the emissions. check your oil level too. but a dealer is the best bet on what to tell what is wrong with the information you gave us.
