Is the greddy kit LS/RS, just that they changed the fuel map. I guess they said that the type r engine is kind of like the ls, that why I had to get that turbo.

Those AEM Brakes, are they new?
i think you need to do a little bit more research before you jump into this.

the aem brakes have about 8,000 miles on them, but they are in perfect condition. I am selling them because I am putting factory wheels back on.

Where can I get my info/research from? One of the shops I always go, is charging too much, another one that I've never been to can do it for roughly 3700 (without manifold), my friend tells me to resleeve my type r and get like a hondata or a AEM management system. Some other friends say just to live it the way it is, that is fast enough, so I really don't know who to listen to.

the best thing i can say is to search this forum and honda-tech for your questions. a lot of what you ask has already been beaten to death many times.

that 3700, what would that include?

The LS kit comes with a longer downpipe than the GSR kit to accomodate the shorter catalytic converter. The LS kit also has the charge piping made for the higher throttle body entrance than the GSR. I believe the fuel managment system uses the same maps, but if you want to do it right, a stand alone ECU will be safer and will get you better power out of it.

But yes, the LS kit will bolt right onto your Type R because of the similar cat and throttle body positions. The Greddy kit is good for smog legality and quick spool-up but if you want better power gains and don't mind lag over power, look elsewhere.

I think you better keep that money in the bank until you get at least One HPDE under your belt. It's the best way to feel the car and yourself's ablity out. then decide on what you want to do.
