Default 95 integra ls idle problem

Guys i got a problem. I just bought my teg then the maint light goes on. Go figure. The car idles at about 2300 rpm when i first start it. after awhile it will die down to 1200-1500 rpm. I'm gonna try to retrieve the code again tonight, i got a code 10 before. IAT sensor apparently. I checked the resistance on the IAT sensor and it was within specs. 800 ohms, specs are for it to be between 0.4k and 4k ohms. any suggestions?

I also have a 95 LS and it pretty much does the exact thing, eventually idling at about 800 or so. I don't know for sure, but i'm pretty sure they're supposed to do that. My guess would be that they idle high until the engine temp begins to come up and then they drop down. Let me know what you find out, I'm curious

I'll let you know, but i think that we may have different problems. My idle does not calm down it stays up at at least 1200. I'm gonna put it on the scanner tomorrow if i get a chance and post the results.

Just a couple more ideas. Check the ECT and sensor output to see if they match. Also, did you check for carbon buildup in the throttle body?

i've been pretty busy but i plan on checking both those items next. I had a coolant leak, i fixed that then bled it, seems to have helped a bit.

When you are bleeding the cooling system are you revving the engine or just letting it bleed at idle. On most Honda's I have done you have to stay about 2-3k to get them hot enough to get it all.
