Too hard to keep clean, though. And I don't really need a paint job since my paint has its blemishes but it isn't chipping, cracking, or starting to get cancer. Seems like an awful lot of money for just a carbon fiber hood that really serves no other purpose than looks.
they make some hood decals for cf hoods that look pretty cool. they make them for cf trunks as well. they're paint matched too. i dunno where to get them done, or anything. i was just saying that it might be cheaper just to put a big decal on it instead of painting it. but im just talkin outta my a$$ here....

ok well heres my problem. first i dont wanna attract too much unwanted attention to my car and second i wanted a pure white look to my car....i guess i could take the risk.....so cal cant be that bad.....can it?
Well, if you just want a plain white look, save your money and keep your factory hood? Painted, the CF hood and the factory hood will look the same, and the weight savings with the CF isn't really that much, so really you should just save your money and spend it on something more useful... but its your car and your money... so the choice is yours
It'd be kinda cool if some company made a colored CF hood out of say, silver carbon fiber. but i'd imagine it will probably be less strong. I'm assuming the way they change color of carbon fiber is by reducing the amount of carbon (and possibly adding dye or something) since pretty much anything that contains a large amount of carbon such as tires naturally turns out black.
