Default 91 4dr project (noober)

hey every1, i have lots of questions and i dont know sh!t so please help me out

i bought a 91 4dr gs for $400 and it runs good but it has 440,000km on it

so i bought this off ebay to replace my old engine with

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...sPageName=WDVW

i would like to make my integra as fast as possible NA

im not looking for an 11 second car but mid to low 13's would be nice

what would be the best route to go in my situation

i will have a like new b18b and a high mileage b18a to use

would a b18c head be a good place to start

im looking to spend about 3-4k on performance, would that be enough th reach low 13's NA

also if i did run boost on the new engine i bought what would the pros and cons be over running NA

and am i going to have to replace my tranny ect ect

i used to drice a 92 5.0 but had to sell due to gas prices but now i cant stand driving a car with only 140 hp

any help would be much appreciated

thanks

with that budget you can get a freshly oem rebuilt block for an lsvtec if thats the route you want to take. would it hit 13's? that would depend on the entire setup, and your driving.

allright so where would i get one of these pre built ls/vtec blocks?

i just bought a b18b with less than 35,000km on it so could i use that

yes i do want the ls/vtec

what is some of the most frequent complications that people face when doing this conversion

i basically want to get my car to about 175-180 hp NA for a daily driver with a setup that will be ok with boost if i want to go faster later on

should i be able to do the ls/vtec setup with 3-4k on top of what i spent on the engine

thanks

i was hoping to build my whole setup off ebay, that way im getting the lowest price possible

i just need help so i know what i should be looking to buy

im looking for the best quality parts so my engine will be able to take quite a beating

in your opinion snoopy what would be the best head and transmission for the b18b

would this be one of the best heads?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW

and for the transmission would the gsr be the best?

the new engine be out of the car untill my current engine dies so im guessing now would be the best time to do the head and bottom end

sorry if i ask 2many questions

thanks

you can use any b series vtec head you want. try to find a complete head with valvetrain, cams, etc. so you dont have to hunt those parts down. a b16 or gsr tranny would be the best bet. the b16 has shorter gears and better acceleration than the gsr.

Once you figure out what you're doing, you'll learn that nothing good really comes from ebay.

Think of it like trying to make a mink coat from thrift store scraps... it's impossible.
