I just bought harnesses for mine. They were like 2 bucks, much easier than sodering them and crap.

And much easier when the time comes to sell the car. I kept all my stock stereo equipment... it'll go back in IF/WHEN I sell my car.

My stock speakers had holes in them. I made the mistake of lightly touching the cone and it instantly crumpled. So I tossed them.

I yanked mine out as soon as I bought my Integra (used, '99 purchased in 2002). I'm a car stereo fanatic, and I knew that I just couldn't stand the stock system. Mine were in pretty good shape when I removed them.
