Default big problem....

ok, i originally posted this in engine tech, but that doesnt seem to be a popular forum so, i wanna see if you guys can help me....

just got a 90 integra GS, and it needs lots of work. so i first want to get it running right, the main problem it seems to be having is the idle is rough, and it's not getting enough spark. so if you rev the car up, it sputters and skips, then floods. sumone told me i need a new module so it can give correct spark, you can also smell in the exhaust that the car is running very rich, and sumone told me that the therostat isnt working right so, it's getting too much fuel.

does this stuff sound right ? anything you guys can tell me to do for this car?

just got the car, so i have no idea what happened to it. also for sum reason, i found that the harness to the fan on the radiator was unplugged, and whoever had the car before ran a wire to it that would turn it on with the ignition. and if i re-plug the harness the ran just runs all the time. the gauge cluster is plugged in but doesnt work.... well it will flash wit the hazards but that's it.

could an ecu going bad do any of this ?

i also noticed the timing is a little off, but i figure timing cant cause all of it, maybe im wrong though.

thanks in advance

im sure somone here knows the answer to your question, but try www.g2ic.com That website is dedicated to g2 (1990-1993) integras
You might get help faster if you try the fourms on that site Good luck.
