Default Check engine light?? Need Help

I recently purchased a PR4 chip for my 92 Integra and when I cranked the engine the check engine light stayed on. The car would not run over 4K rpm and wouldn't even run good under that. When I went back to stock chip the light stayed off and the car ran normal. The directions with the chip said that I may have a soldering problem but the stock chip works fine. Anyone had this problem and know how to fix??

I don't understand why people buy that crap. Chips suck! :uhhok:

Figure out what the error is using these:

Then post the code so it is able to be diagnosed.

I need the chip so that I can get rid of the stock 7200 rpm limiter. I need at least 8000 limiter. Any ideas on how to get that but keep the stock map??

Can you explain why you need an 8000 rev limit on a 92 RS? Also explain to me the benefits of raising the rev limiter on a car using those fake ass racing chips.

The car is not stock. I have a Stage 2 Crower cam w/ head mods and 10.5:1 compression. I am losing power in the 7-8k rpm range that is waiting to be had. I do agree that the chips don't seem to do much with adding power but getting use of that 7-8k rpm is a must for me.

hondata/uberdata/crome > ebay chips

it's fascinating to me that you would spend all that money on upgrades, yet not even know you need something to tune it with.

I know I need to tune it and that is why I used this website to find the information that I did not know about. Isn't that what this site is for?? .
