What year teg and how many miles?
When you cleaned the IACV what cleaner did you use?
When was the last tune-up?

I think you might want to-do a full tune-up on the car. Plugs/cap/rotor, fuel & air filter, PVC valve, and plug wires if needed. closely inspect every hose going to the Intake manifold and look for cracks or tears and replace where needed and reset the ECU again when done.

My car has 101k miles and I have no idea when the last tune-up was... me and my friend were planning to tune-up both of our cars soon anyways, and another friend of mine are going to replace all the belts and waterpump. When I cleaned the IACV I used carb cleaner. I'm going to pickup the pcv valve today... gotta get my paycheck first tho ;p

Carb cleaner through the IACV is a good way to ruin one.

Really? Well damn... And so I got the pcv valve today... and put it in my car.

And now im not sure what triggered it, but now my car is REALLY F*ed. I am getting both cel codes 72 and 74 and my car is shakey throughout driving, not just idle. I can hear the the engine clicking kinda and trying real hard to go but it just bogs down. I am going to throw in the towel and head to the acura dealership in the morning I suppose.

Im really starting to think it may be the alternator... if the alternator was going, could it effect the 2nd and 4th cylinder not to work and give me problems like I have? When I was looking at it today, the alternator was humming kinda loud... so I dunno anymore. Apparently I was sold a lemon, those f*ckers.

Maybe it is not the alternator, hey guys... what is the box in my pic right below the engine, where the spark plug wires connect into?

That's the distributor, the black cover is the distributor cap. I would check your spark plugs in the misfiring cylinders and see how they look.

How do I check them and how do I re-install them. I know sometimes you need a special tool, right?

So I bought the 3/8 deep socket for my sparks today... might try to check em out in a bit when my car cools down or tommorrow morning. If its not those, I'll buy a new cap and rotor and pray. I'll keep ya posted.
