BUT, a crack in a breather hose, which connects to the intake BEFORE the throttlebody will not cause any problems. This is the hose which is shown in the pictures above. A crack in this hose will cause the breather gasses (air + oil-vapor) to escape into the air, and thus create a neglegent increase in polution. It will not create a vacuum leak because it connects to the intake BEFORE the throttlebody, nor will it create any other performance problems. A crack in almost any hose will create problems, a crack in this hose will not.
I agree. If a crack in this hose would create idle problems, then anybody that has installed a breather filter on the valve cover would have idle problems...but they don't. Does the car have an unstable idle while the engine is warm, or just when cold?

When its warm, not while cold, which is why I checked the iacv and am going to check the pcv valve...

Well, on the way home from work tonight I got a CEL pop on... and I just checked it, code 74...

74 96-98 Civic
97-98 CRV
96-98 Prelude
94+ Integra

Cylinder 4 Misfire or a Random Misfire a condition is present that is creating a cylinder misfire

How do I check to make sure all my cylinders are getting sparks? Im about to reset the ecu tho, and see how that goes...

Try resetting the ECU, since you didn't have the code before. Occasionally I'll get a misfire code on startup, but it's just a random misfire...ECU reset clears it.

As for your idle problem, I'd check for vacuum leaks and your IACV. The PCV has no affect on idle.

Well, I checked the iacv already and cleaned it... but it still does it, so I think it may be a vacuum leak? Also, my car kinda like sputters when accelerating and wont go anywhere, then it will clear up and run fine... it does it randomly but often enough to be aggravating.

Ahhh, also, I noticed that something under my hood "clicks". It constantly clicks and when I get closer to it I believe it may be the alternator? It is coming directly from the left side of the engine, right next to the valvecover, just south from the oil cap cover.

first off misfires has to do with ignition, so reset the ecu yes, whens the last time you got a tune up? have you pulled the plugs to look at them? I had a badly gapped plug that caused me to have a fumbling idle. Check the basics.

Was the IACV stuck when you took it out? Does it open and close properly? I agree with checking plugs as well, but I think bad idles caused by faulty ignition components would be apparent at cold engine temps as well. Since it only happens when the engine is warm, I think it's the IACV still. Do you have a known good IACV you can swap in...from a friend or something?

No, not at the moment I dont... heh... I dont know anyone in my area with an integra yet...

What do you mean does it open and close properly? there was nothing to open or close that I saw when i was looking at it... there are two holes, one has a screen on it and the other is just an opening...
