Also, I dont think it will save you either, if you already own an auto, it probably won't save you money since you have to buy a different car anyways, and it won't save you a headache, because traditionally, buying a car is a PAIN!

I have a 94 4dr teggie LS. Auto. I was planning on converting it into a manual but at my local junkyard they want 700 bucks to get the tranny out of a spent car then about 500 for me to buy it. THen I would have to cut out a bunch of stuff in my car and I'm only 17 so school is a factor and money. So I'm just going to sell my car, once I get a job, and buy a manual. Plus my car is..Kinda slow. Accel wise.

Bah, don't have them take it out, lol, buy a shot ls engine or something and take it yourself... its only a few hundred bucks, you'd be better off buying the parts separately online, maybe even a performance tranny set-up for that price.

ive seen LS trannies go here for 3-400 bucks :dunno:

sometimes you will get lucky and find a gs-r tranny for that.

follow the HAN classifieds and find a guy partin his car out or dumpin some stuff from the garage.

he speaks the truth, i see threads about auto ---> manual costs all over the place. bottom line, unless you have access to every part you need and/or a huge budget its gonna be a PITA to do. its easier just to trade in the car and start all over with a 5 speed from the getgo. <--duno if thats a word but it is now
