I just finished changing my pads & caliper and now the pedal goes all the way to the floor when stopping. Still stops fine. I bled the system and drove around for a few minutes but still does it. What am I missing?... It seems to be bled well, no air comes out when I open the valve w/ the pedal down, only fluid. I also topped the fluid...

 

a few pumps will not do it. air can get DEEP inside the lines. if your reservior fluid got low enough, it can pull air into the line as well.

you may have to bleed all the calipers to remove any air in the lines and don't let the fluid level in the reservior get too low.

 

hey thanks, i heard that its common for the pedal to go down right after the change, how do i know the difference between that and air that needs to be bled?

 

bled the left and right front ones, seemed to be a tiny bubble on the right one but not much on the left. well its much better now, thx

 

1,2,3,4,5,6 hold, crack the valve. Repeat about 10 times then shut the valve continue to do this from the back right clockwise, then again I heard it don't matter, I don't follow it but still. Pop the resevoir cover off while your pumping and make sure it stays up while your pumping while checking it periodically. Pedal to the floor is air in the line, a broken line or broken mc.
