99 Integra LS
Hey all.
This, I suppose, can be considered my introduction to HAN. I just bought a '99 Acura Integra LS with 98k miles on it from the P.A.D.E. auction. (www.padeauction.com)
It was a last second purchase. I'd been looking at a few Camrys, Corollas, and Altimas; however, the used car market is ridiculous right now, so those cars were selling for too much money. I was about to give up before I saw the acura moving up to the auction block. It was literally the third to the last car being auctioned for the day.
I don't know much about Acura's. I just know they have Honda reliability written all over them. I spent $5750 for car, plus buyers fee and sales tax. The car had one previous owner and it was driven on the saltless roads of Maryland. Given the prestine condition of the car and the durability of Honda parts, I think I got a great deal on it.
There are no visible defects except a small 1" diameter bubble near the bottom of the passenger side door. It's not a rust bubble, but a bad fiber glass job which has been painted over. The hood has a couple of dinks on it. Little white spots, maybe from pebbles or something.
How is the market for touch up paint? I'd like to paint over the little paint chips. Is there any kind of paint you can suggest, or should I just find a dealer and buy paint from them?

Unless you are a painter I would take it to get professionally done, touch up paint is just for touch up. If you want to get some touch up you can go to your local Acura dealer and give them the paint code in the door jam and they will hook you up.
