My car has been off the road for like 3 weeks cause the state of NH has gotten almost $2500 in tickets this summer..... so i had to put a stock exuast on and raise the car.... when i did this my CV joints shot to h*ll....... so now i have to change them and i have broken 3 braker bars and 1 rachet (half inch drives)..... i can not get the center nut (32mm) off the end off the axle shaft..... i have put so much force of the braker bar that the tire turns while sitting on the ground........ i pounded the staker thing out..... so i definetly know that i am doing something wrong........ how do i go about getting this nut off....... i know that a impact wrench would work.... is there a tool that could help me out...
thanks

what you do now is find a friend with a air tank or something of that nature and buy a really cheap impact wrench for like 20 dollars and but a impact socket in the 32 mm size and you go to autozone and get some pb blaster and spray a tub of that in something that can be put on the nut all night to penetrate in it well and then try with an impact wrench but if it doesnt come off then well then you gots a real prob and if you want you can try jarring it loose by tapping with a hammer after you soak it in oil
Use a breaker bar with a cheater bar on top of it. The longer the cheater bar the better, mine is atleast 45inches. Leave the wheel on the car and dont jack it up yet. Have someone step on the brakes and you then turn the sucker off. If that doesnt work just take of the whole hub/knuckle assembly along with the axle off and take down to your local mechanic shop and have them bust it off with an impact wrench for you.
