To answer your question, no, it is not necessary. If you were doing a motor build up to handle higher RPM, then I would suggest it.

you can just send the crank in and have it turned and balanced.

if it were me, id have the block honed but not bored (bore it and those PR3's wont fit right), have the crank turned and have the top of the block checked for plane. chances are, it is okay but better safe than sorry.

and if you dont have PR3 pistons yet, let me know i have a 3 set i will sell you cheap.

okay so what about the p30 pistons, the will fit okay wont they? And why is it better to have the block honed instaed of getting it bored? Anybody know how muc p30 pistons cost?

if you have it bored, that increases the diameter (bore) of the cylinders and thus, you will need to get pistons that are built for such.

a hone simply smooths the cylinder walls down so that your rings seal better but does not (significantly) affect the bore dimension.

This may be a little off topic but, when i put these new p30 pistons in I am expecting to have 11.4/ 1 compression or so, but is this compression too high to be using pump gas, I still have to drive this car everyday and i want to use pump gas. Tell me if you think i should use some lower compression pistons or not.

you will be okay with pump gas if you run premium fuel, probably wise to run 92/93 if its available in your area but 91 might suffice as well.
