has anybody here ever put p30's in a non v-tec before, and if so did you notice any difference in power at all, i was just wonder how much hp i would get from doing this, obviously not much just wondering if anyone knows.

you will gain some power with higher compression but with a cam upgrade, you will really notice.

higher compression helps "suck" air into the engine, force it out, upgraded cams will allow more valve duration to allow more air into the engine, force more out, more power.

follow?

my suggestion, get some crower 403's and a valve train upgrade

Gotcha thanks man, i was thinking of putting new valtrain and cams anyway. Should i get 45 degree valves?? i think thats what they are called?

im just using my OEM valves, 403's with upgraded springs and retainers, and PR3 pistons.

also gonna get some stronger rods

hehehehe

i really dont know in terms of power but with my PR3 pistons, 403's, gs-r tranny, and some "mild" tuning, im hoping to break into the mid-low 14's in the 1/4 mile. we'll see. right now im finishing whats under the car, hopefully by this time next year, ill be finishing whats under the hood.
