Default Removing GS-R Spoiler

I'm thinking about going wingless. After I get the spoiler off, how do I get the wiring out for the brake light? Do I disconnect the wiring through the wing itself or do I have to cut the wires?

Thanks guys

I also wanted to go wingless on my GEEZER. I also wanted to remove the brake light and mount it on the rear window. I saw a silver teg in Ontario with one and it looked sweet...can someone go through a tutorial of this?

there is wiring that comes out the passenger side portion that mounts to the car....just pull on it for a bit and then you can disconnect it just like any other tab in a honda harness

The connector clips into the sheet metal on the passenger side like Airon says. I would recommend pulling the plastic the trim from the underside of hatch to disconnect spoiler light, everything is held on by clips so a few good tugs will remove everything. Remove the plastic rails first then the main plastic.

Also there are a total of 5 screws holding on the spoiler, 4 acorn nuts (2 on each side) that you can see and one plastic clip thing (on the drivers side) that you cannot. Remove all 4 acorn nuts, then a firm tug on the drivers side of the spiler will pull that 5th screw out. I spent 15min trying to unscrew that thing.

Marty.

After you remove the wing, what did you do with the hole? Just leave it as is? The holes are pretty noticable.

You can actually buy a new trunklid too...there's a site called something like wholesalecarparts.com or something like that and they have car parts really cheap. But it'd still probably run a couple hundred...so yeah, I'd go with duct tape h:
