My front tranny torque mount is on its last leg. It is splitting, and causing my automatic transmission to shift harshly when going into reverse. I have checked around, and the mount is about 70 bucks. I havent been able to find a good one in the parts forum. I have seen motor mount inserts on Ebay, which claim to help failing stock motor mounts for about 40 bucks shipped for 3 of them in a kit. Is this something that would help, or that you guys reccomend doing? I dont really see spending 70+ bucks on a brand new motor mount from Honda, when I can get a set to help with things for 40 bucks off ebay. Any input appreciated guys!

i know what you're talking about. try taking out the motor mount and see if it really is broken. If it is, the ES motor mount inserts might help. I put these on my car, and my mounts were broken, and now its stiff as hell. Try it, and theres also a special on honda-tech for the mounts for 36 bucks shipped

 

The mount inserts will help, they're just really stiff, so be ready for some vibrations when idleing and such.

 

also, if you are getting inserts, go with energy suspension inserts. you dont want to get cheap ones especially off of ebay and have to replace them soon after you just put them in. www.lightningmotorsports.com sells them pretty cheap.
