i wetsanded and polished mine. they came out crystal clear, like new. granted, i also had my bumper off when i did it, so it made the job much, much easier.

Just tried the nevr-dull stuff. $3.50 @ Wal-mart as stated. Not perfect, but real big improvement (a.k.a good enough). Thanks shmoo.
BTW Don't know if it affects the paint, but just in case I took a used up toilet paper core, cut it to roll it out and used it to "mask" the rest of the front from the lens as I applied the nevr-dull.
