Anyway, whats up guys, im at 56000 miles in my 99 GS-R and im wondering what i should change. I just did brakes. The Maint. Reqd. light wont go off.. or do i have to turn it off manually? What else needs to be changed at 56000 miles?

check your owner's manual, it lists exactly what needs to be done. i think at 50k all u need are new plugs/wires, tranny fluid, coolant, valve adjustment, and air filter.

the maint req'd button is right underneath the steering column below the dash (square shaped). just hold it down until it turns off w/the key in the ignition.

Yeah, the light is just there to turn on/off by set mileage intervals. Just hold the button down and turn on your ignition and it'll turn off.

Here's what I got done at 60k.
1) Valve Adjustment
2) Fuel Filter
3) Oil Filter
4) Oil Change
5) Air Filter (got ana ftermarket one though)
6) Needed a new clutch master cylinder
7) All new fluids (brake, coolant, powersteering)
8) Tranny Flush

That's all I can think of for now.

don't waste your money on plug wires! i have the OEM wires that say "1991" on them... on my 1991 teg. they work like new, i even bought new aftermarket wires put them in and noticed no difference. needless to say i returened the wires and stayed with my stock wires. btw, they have 194xxx miles on them.
