probably because the LS intake manifold has a different design.

Go look at actual dyno charts, not the ones that they have on their website. ARC and Comptech intakes both use an airbox because it's better for throttle response and sucking in cold air. The AEM short ram and any other brand is just a waste of money.

The kind of person that is tired of people buying intakes for sound, and just welding on mufflers to stock piping.

Those may be sucking cold air, but the stock airbox does not. It is just routed down into a resonator box then back up right where the battery is, sucking in hot engine air. The main reason intakes lose throttle response is the length and the diameter. If it's too long you get poor throttle response and if the diameter is too big, then you also get poor throttle response. I'm glad you didn't take offense to my original post, I didn't mean it the way it might have sounded.

My GS-R sri is not as loud as my sri on my Accord the only thing that I can think of is the location of the filter. The one in my Accord is closer to the fender than the one in my Integra causing it to echo at WOT

yes, but the characteristics of the Accord motor are different than the B18 motors. i'm comparing same car, just different motors.
