no matter what, you will need spacers that come in those reinforcement kits because the ITR subframe is a flush surface, while the non-ITR subframe doesnt

does suspension? Not exactly what you're asking there... the only way to guarantee you don't damage your subframe is to remove your rear swaybar all together and never get a new one. That, of course, would be lame, so the better option would be to use a reinforcement kit. Brian, the "inventor" and seller of the bsq kit claims he has never heard of a tearout with his kit (which costs like $20). There is documentation on the internet of at least one person tearing their subframe with the beaks kit installed (although who knows if it was installed properly). But either way, we're talking one in tens of thousands.

By "does suspension" I mean to put on an aftermarket set of springs/struts/shocks with higher spring rates than stock.

yeah, higher spring rates will reduce the force the swaybar exerts on your subframe

Bah... looks like I may be doing suspension sooner than expected. I really just need to win the lottery or something.
