yea my only advantage is that he cant drive, which is a given, worse launches ever.

i was really bout to get nitrous but i decided to not do any FI for now. how's this sound?
B18C1
AEM CAI
HKS Hiper Exhaust
MSD Ignition Stuff
JDM 4-1 Header/DC 4-1
Test Pipe
Skunk2 Intake Manifold

or should i just not get the headers and test pipe and try to put in new cams?
cams will make a bigger difference than the Header and the test pipe!

headER...

The IM will be nice for power. You really need to get more serious if you want serious power though. Go internal - pistons, rods, cams, etc. - and you will make very good power. Bolt-ons are not going to give you all you want, but the IM will be a good upgrade for you even if you do more to the internals later. hih

i got my GSR w/ AEM CAI, HKS Hiper Exhaust, MSD Dist. Cap, MSD Spark Plug Wires, Denso Spark Plugs, spoon flywheel, exedy stage 1 clutch.

i ran a 9.8 with intake, exhaust, spark plugs, w/ a slipping OEM clutch.

after i installed my spoon flywheel, exedy clutch, ingition stuff, my car felt a lot faster, but i think i need a little more bolt ons just so i can beat this WRX.

im thinking of a Skunk2 Single Stage Intake Manifold, DC 4-1 Headers, test pipe. what do you guys think i would be running with all of this in my car?

what else could i get for a rather cheap price, pulleys, just let me kno what you guys put on ur car n loved it?

does anyone have an dyno proven DC headers for their cars? or how about skunk2 intake manifold? thanks
This race is taking place on the track, correct ?
Good.

First question, have you drag raced on the new setup (flywheel, clutch and ignition)? If not, I'd run it and see how much time you've shaved.

Aftermarket VTEC cams will certainly help the upper and midrange. And the exhaust header is certainly worth it. I kinda doubt you're spending enough time above 8K to justify the intake manifold.

One thing is clear: you'll need to nail the launch, because your WRX-driving friend will have a significant advantage. So launch rpm, staging depth and tire pressure will all be critical.

Race safe and good luck!

i got an 01 GSR with SKunk2 intake, skunk2 cams stage 1 competch header and apexi N1 exhaust and comptech ice box, the only thing is i have a dead spot becasue the car needs an ecu or a VAFC but i waiting to get the cam gears so i can have it all dyno tunned at once, so word to the wise be carefull with puttin on a skunk2 manifold and or skunk cams cause u well get a dead spot without the proper ecu or VAFC. in my case i have no power between 4500 (VTec kicks in) to about 6000, but when i hit 6000 feels like i hit nos the car takes off hope that helps before u decide to put the money and the time, and end up with a problem that u have to spend more moeny before the car runs faster..

yea thanks for the tips, yea the reason why the race is in a few weeks is because thats when the race tracks open again.

so if i have cam shafts replaced i will need it tuned?

and i havent dragged on my current set up because i still have 100 miles to break in on my clutch.

anyone know a good place to get the cam shafts?

Anyone who's felt first gear on a 75 shot would love it too.
