Default scraping noise, power steering compressor suspected

94' LS 80k
I am getting a scrapping noise from my engine, i have tracked the noise down to what i belive is my power steering compressor (the accessory belt connects tot he top of it) i put my hand on it while engine is running and there is a good amount of vibration comming from it (more than the engine)
so i am pretty sure this is my problem, I put oil on it and it quieted down but is still making noises and clicking sounds.
any idea what this is, and how much it costs to replace it?

(my belts are in good condition also)

it is the very top thing that looks like a compressor that the accessory belt is connected to.

The PS belt doesn't drive anything else. So you could take off the belt & see if the noise goes away. If it still makes noise, you gotta look for something else as the cause.

No, but it shouldn't really be difficult. Just bolts on. Get new O-ring seals for the tubing connections. New fluid - you know you gotta get genuine Honda fluid or else it's gotta say "FOR HONDA"... It's not like anyone else's fluid.

The PS pump uses maybe a couple HP, so you probably won't feel much. It'll be good excercise for your arms...

Take off the belt first then decide whether you wanna get a new pump. After all, you might find that the noise is coming from somewhere else??
