Default Integra alternator question.. is this the right pulley and connector?

My friend and I cancelled our plans to install my new HO alternator becauae we weren't sure the pulley was right (also didn't help that it was under 40 degrees... gimme a break, this is FL). Can anyone tell me if this is the correct pulley and connector?

Default Iraggi HO alt compared to stock Integra alt

Well, the connector was correct, the pulley quite different. I emailed Dominick Iraggi and he said he knew the pulley was smaller... that I might have to get a shorter belt. My complaint was not about the diameter of the pulley, but the width of the channel where the belt rides.

So, after comparing the Iraggi alt with a stock one at Carquest auto parts, here's what I saw:

Carquest didn't have a 4 groove pulley the same diameter as the one on the Iraggi alt, so they sent me to an Alternator shop just up the road. Old man Jones of Jones' Alternators told me he wouldn't sweat it... just put the belt on the inside of the 6 groove pulley and go with it. He said he doubted he could get me the 4-groove one in that diameter.

I'm guessing the reason for such as small diameter pulley is to speed up the turning of the alternator.

Anyone have experience using a pulley too wide for the belt?
