dip stick is burnig?? why
i was doing a normal oil check and i noticed my dip stick is burnt on the top and it appeared to be some kind of dirty stuff on it... umm im runnin a greeddy turbo ...? any reasons why this might happen... i checked my dipstick and it apears to b at the line...

Is it touching your manifold/turbo? The dipstick gets hot anyways just from being that close to the engine...that turbo and manifold just make it hotter.

same exact thing happens on mine(greddy turbo too). make sure you have that little heat sheild over the turbo manifold. i think the stuff on it is just from the plastic melting and bubbling, that would be my only guess. nothing to worry about though

I also have the same setup and mine burns too. It is the rubber near the top where it contacts the tube. It only smells when after I have been boosting a lot. An aftermarket replacement is about $35. I am too cheap for that, so I will just let the plastic burn off.
