under the car, take off the big black brace. Then right next to the passenger side of the oil pan there is a black, thin plate covering the flywheel attatched to the tranny. I think it's held on by about 6 small bolts. That's the covering for the flywheel. Good luck

Thanks Littletimmy, I finally got it. I found the plate, took all the crap off around it, took it off and inserted an alan wrench between the teeth of the flywheel. Sure beats paying $60 for a special tool.

I tried using an air powered impact wrench but that didn't budge it. Finally, I used an 18" breaker bar with a 1/2" drive, with an adapter to fit my 3/8" drive 19 mm socket. Well, I broke two of those adapters so then I just bought a 1/2" drive 19 mm socket. I leg pressed the fvck out of it and the damn bolt finally gave up and broke loose. I was about to give up and put all the sh1t back together and bring it to a shop. That woulda been teh :ghey:.

:yay:

I've tried that before and it didnt work for me. We had to get the moroso crank tool $70. BTW this tool fits all B series motors.

www.summitracing.com i think has them. No store I went to has them.

I didn't buy one cause I don't wanna pay $70 for a tool I'm gonna use once and I don't really wanna wait days or weeks for it to come since I already have everything apart.

Just wondering, would this work if all the belts are off?

yes, it makes no difference if the belts are on or off but you have to take them off to get the other things off anyway.
