Default Idle Problem

Ok, here is my new problem with my GSR after getting the car running. The idle is bouncing all over....it starts up at around 3000-3200 when i turn it on, then starts to drop slowly, then it starts to bounce from 1500-2500, then settles at around 800. When it settles, and you go to press the gas, the car bogs really bad like it is going to stall. I first off need to know how to stop the bouncing and high rev.

Here is a list of mods to help:
Intake, Exhaust, Headers, Skunk2 Manifold, Skunk2 Stage 1 Cams, Cam Gears, ITR Pistons & Rods, AEM Fuel Rail, and Pulleys

Any help is greatly appreciated. I know the car needs to be tuned, but I want to break in the new engine before I do.

Make sure all vaccum lines are connected, especially the PCV valve behind the block, right underneath the intake manifold.

try checking your coolant level, it may be low.

:werd:

Make sure they're all connected, and connected to the correct places. Unhooked/incorrectly hooked up vacuum lines would cause a bouncy idle and the bogging problem under throttle.

I have checked to make sure that they are all connected cause there is no vacuum leak. I am not sure if they are going to the right places, i am pretty sure they are. Yes this did just start after I took the engine out of the car and rebuilt it with all the stuff.

do this. (i had the same problem)

take off the intake, so you can see into the throttle body. start the car. there's a little hole in the side of the throttle body, plug it up with your finger (it's the iac valve i believe) when you plug it up with your finger and the idle is normal, then you know that it's that valve.

next turn the car off and all. take the throttle body off. the iac valve is on the underside of the throttle body. take it off, unscrew the end of the valve. i don't quite remember what it looks like, but it's easy, inside there's a plastic thing with threads, and a springs. screw the plastic thing all the way back in, it probably just came unscrewed. put it all back together and it should all work fine. it did for me at least. g'luck.

I did the pluggin thing last night, and it didnt change. Now your other idea....I took off the IAC last night and there was no valve to unscrew on that. Are you talkin about the fast idle valve? Or is it on the throttle body behind the IAC? Please let me know, I would like to try tonight.
