Default Fuel pump er no?

I have a 1994 Acura Integra LS.

Sometimes the car doenst start, it makes the noises as if the engine wants to start but it cant...I installed a Fuel Gauge so that I can monitor how much fuel is goin through and whenever this problem occurs it indicates that no fuel is pumping...Im going to check the fuel pump relay and possibly replace the fuel pump. I just wanted another opinnion...could this problem be caused by anything else besides the fuel pump?

I have had a Tune Up/Replaced O2 Sensor and the car runs much better now but the start problem occurs on occassion.

P.s. The Engine does have spark during the nonstart.

Thanks Again!

Sounds like a fuel problem. I would check all the wiring and piping first. Then check the fuel pump. Do you hear it when you turn the key to the "on" position? When was the last time the fuel filter was changed?

I'm with this man. Listen when you turn the key to on and listen for the fuel pump to energize, or listen for the fuel rail to pressurize. I'd be leaning towards a wiring/fuel filter problem since it doesn't happen all the time. Possibly a loose wire somewhere that isn't making a connection everytime you try to start it, or the fuel filter is clogged a bit.

Most likely a fault wire that's having problems powering up the fuel pump.

This is well-know and oftenproblem with main relay (positioned nderdash in the cabin) responsible for activating fuel pump, that's getting faulty usually in Hondas/Integras 5-year old and older. There are to ways to fix it. First one is to replace the relay with new one. Second one cheaper is to uninstall this relay, disassemble it and clean the metal parts with metal brush.
