Just test drove a jdm dc2 210bhp ;)
I was impressed Im really thinkin of gettin one. A question though , The lad just bought it that owns it he got it tested and its putting out 209.7bhp on the rollin road. But no visual mods in engine, it is very quick though so what mods would have this result? as the car has other obvious signs that it was tuned/raced in japan. I was thinkin internal, maybe it has had flywheel upgrade and cams???Any opinions as im curious and so is he?
cams are tricky with B series. they arent like the old cars where you get a lumpy barely idle cam with lost of lift and duration and youre set. Hondas have been engineered beyond the cam. Most guys are swapping in ITR cams to begin with so you might not see alot of HP gains from a cam swap with an ITR unless something else is changed like your ECU. The flywheel is definatley a good idea, not that expensive either. Might want to look into getting the head worked on by some one that really knows what he's doing

Our Type R's were rated at 195 from I've read.

well my ITR dynoed at 183.5 with intake/headers and a cat-back
so 209 to the wheels is a lot
thats approximately ~25.5 hp to the wheels and about 40 to the crank
wished my R dynoed that much "visibly stock"

But no visual mods in engine....Are you aware of any tuning history? Is it outfitted in any way unusual? You said you couldn't see anything unusual in the motor, but what about the rest of the car? Is there any sign that it might have been used at some time for anything other than normal road use?
Many "blueprinted" motors were tweaked a bit more than the lower FIA Gruppe N specifications actually allowed, and nobody ever discovered it because the motors were never torn down. Higher Gruppe N numbers would allow quite a bit of modification that would not be externally visible.
A normal road car could have several different kinds of OEM pistons installed that would increase the compression.
A Spoon or Mugen computer could be used, and it would not look any different from the OEM computer.
Changes to the cams, intake manifold and throttle body are popular modifications that would not necessarily be obvious to the naked eye of a dilettante.

It's also entirely possible that the dynomometer was calibrated incorrectly.
