So, is replacing the hatch shocks in my 99 LS something the average mechanical moron (like me!) will be able to figure out? Where my I get some instruction how to do this - a Haynes or Chilton? Or can someone here help me out? Am sick of resting the heavy thing on my forehead!

I think you just need a 10/12 mm wrench and some neednose plier to pop the ring pin off, shock attaches to the body with a pin like this:


just take some needlenose, and push on the two ends of the ring.
