Default OBD issues

I have a 99' LS with some milid modifications and I would like to know if anyone has swaped the OBDII ECU for an OBDI ECU and if so, what do I need to do beyond getting a conversion harness to be reliable and have more power? Also, what sensors can I get rid of? any help is greatly appreciated

Welcome to HAN!

The conversion from OBD II to OBD I is fairly involved...so there may be less expensive ways to achieve your goals.

What modifications have you made?

I have a catback exhast by OBX, A B&M fuel pressure regulator, AEM CAI, and a ground wire kit. That seems to be all that I have done to it in the engine bay. I just put some 17's with 215/45 tires, so that will hinder the power some, but it looks a hell of a lot better.

at this point, converting to obd1 will do you no good at all.

Well, as opposed to an OBD-1 conversion, I'd recommend saving for an aftermarket turbocharger system..

Alternatively, a 55hp "dry" nitrous oxide system, used wisely would complement your existing modifications nicely. ZEX makes a very competitive kit that's darn-near foolproof. Of course, you'll need to buy refills...

Master Yodub is our resident authority on nitrous, if you're interested.

Ahhh, online, what a great thing it is, BUT I am a member of the United States Air Force stationed in italy, so that is not possible. In italy, NOS is illegal to have on your car. If I do get a Turbo/Supercharger, wouldn't I need OBDI to tune my car? I have yet to see anything for an OBDII car as far as ECU's go. That doesnt count some stand alone stuff to add on, but I aint rich either. By the way, thanks for the welcome. Also, anyone know where I can get a turbo kit(with the intercooler) for a decent price, and a good brand. I hear greddy makes a good, but spendy kit.

The Greddy kit is superb. Quality components and properly engineered fuel management...that is totally compatible with your OBD-2 management.. The only reason I'm not saving to buy their kit for my 1997 DC4 Integra is that I plan to go back to a RWD car in the near future...
