How do I locate the transmission plug?
Hi,
I have a 1992 Acura Integra (automatic). I would like to know where the transmission drain plug is. Still better do you have a picture showing the location of the plug?
Also, do you have any tips for the change of transmission fluid?
Thanks in advance,
Vani

on a 98+, the plug on a automatic is on the side, in reference to that picture its more towards the front of the car, farther forward from the axel, on the bottom of that side(not facing down, but on the side). all you need to do is put a 3/8th ratchet in there and turn(get an extension and strong arm). there is no socket attachment needed, you need to replace the washer on the bolt(from honda or acura). i would drain, refill, drive around for a little(like a half hour or so), then drain and fill again. this dilutes most of the old fluid because there is like 5.9 quarts total including torque converter. it helps if you turn your steering wheel to the right, and even a floor jack can help so you get better leverage. i have seen accords in about the same location, i know this is a different gen but it may help if you still cant find it.
