Default o2 sensor location is messed up

Hey all, I have a 1994 Acura Integra LS

I bought a new exhaust downpipe (Headers) for it about 8 months ago, after installing it I noticed the 02 sensor screw hole is directly underneath the driverside axle...the only way we could clear it was by rigging the 02 sensor to bend at the top to clear the axle by about an inch....anyways my question was besides buying a new 02 sensor and header, would I mess up the electrical system if I relocated the 02 sensor hole to a little further down the exhaust downpipe? some local shops have 02 sensor relocation screw holes for about $5 and I have everything I need to do the modification (Welding, + Standard Tools).
