99 and up transmission
If you want the job to be done right and last for another 10 years plus, I'd go with rebuilding your trans, rather than gamble on a "junkyard" trans. The investment pays off in the long run.

i bought a 99 GSR trans for 700...no problems to date!
if you do rebuild, make sure you go the most known, capable, recommended, respectable mechanic you can find. i've been in this situation with my old car and the rebuilder did a terrible job (even though people recommended me to go there).

I dont know if I can post this here. But I have a 95 LS 5 Speed tranny for sale that works flawlessly. Just cause he asked where to get one I thought I would go ahead and say that. If your interested drop me a line.
