You can check yours for cracks/leaks by looking at it from underneath. Aftermarket headers are usually $300 or so and up. I would try taking the cat heat shields off first.

yeah, i get a metal humming noise at about 2700...
everytime i hit 2700 rpm i could hear it and when i go past 2800 rpm it stops...
if i keep my needle at 2700-2800, it is a constand humming noise....
but then again, my car makes so much noise... i learn to accept it...

The A pipe is usually the one that poops out. An OEM replacement will run you $600 whereas you could replace the whole manifold with an aftermarket for less than $300 and get some HP gains from it.

My shop helped me determine that it is the A pipe. What is a good header for this car. If it helps performance that would be great. I'd like to keep the pice down. The car is stock. Thanks

the header bracket (bolts to collector and engine block) can break in half, resulting in the 2 pieces vibrating against each other. this happened to me, and i just removed it - problem solved.

DC Sports. Either ceramic or ss. Stainless Steel looks better and lasts longer but is a bit more expensive. It will probably run you about $300-350 for a new one.

Do you still have the Comptech B-pipe, or was it sold?
