Cold air intake and HP gain?
I had a short ram and then switched to a CAI w/ bypass. They were both AEM.
The SRI made a lot of noise, was boggy down low & gave me a bit better throttle response. It worked much better on cold days, especially before the engine got too warm. Once the car warmed up, it felt slower than stock at times.
Switching to the CAI was a HUGE relief. I'd suggest saving for the cold air, unless you get a short ram for free. If that was the case, like mine was, save up for the cold air & get it.

Definately a CAI rather than a Short Ram.....AEM too....I just hate how they advertise that there is such a huge HP gain. And people actually think that they are getting that much....anywho I think the CAI is way better than a Short Ram not an amazing difference but noticeable, i'm not an expert though. hey maybe you should get one of those "tornado" infomercial things, that's horrible!
yes that's correct, the bypass valve is vital.....my friend had a 95 teg and he didn't have a bypass valve. My friend left his car out in the crappy parking lot and when he came back the car he found water up to his floorboards....He was struck with a hefty bill for repairs..i think he had to pay like 2 - 3k on repair, i am not too sure, but hey he had to pay a good amount!!! but definately get the bypass valve, good point StriderGS
