GSR vs Type SH?
can't always go by what they say., they test on different days in different conditions, different drivers and different tracks. It depoends on the driver. Either on ecan beat the other with a good driver.
If you ever read their testing methodology, you would know they test on the same day(same weather, track conditions, same driver; usually their most skilled track driver) to eliminate these variables; that is the whole point of doing a head to head comparison test!
It looks like you convinced yourself that the GSR is a better performer, and thats cool; I just wanted to give some scientific info (car vs car) so we dont have to listen to unsubstantiated stories of racing on the streets.
You'll note that I'm not saying a Prelude(5speed) will win a race; that will obviously depend on driver more than anything.

So ya, the GSR owns the Lude...

Oh, but I'll have to add that there are some really fast GSRs out there; modded OBD1s in particular. It seems like the 5th Gen Prelude does not respond to mods as well, but that's just a generalization which doesnt take driver skill into account.
I think by posting in the Integ forum, its gona be more biased...
He should also post in the Prelude forum for their opinion. My guess is that the Civic forum would be dead even between the two....

For sure most people will be biased toward the car they own; its all about proving to everybody that you have the superior car. If you were to post this in the Civic forum, there would be people saying that an Si performs better than a GSR or a Prelude manual (all stock vs stock).
What I tried to do is give some scientific info about the car vs the car in the form of a head to head comparison test, where variables like driver, track conditions are controlled for.
But all that means crap if YOU are racing your car cuz it ultimately boils down to what YOU can do in your car.
